Uses and Doses

• Gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer: 20 mg once daily; 8-week treatment for gastric ulcer, 6-week treatment for duodenal ulcer.
• Reflux esophagitis: 20 mg once daily for 4 weeks; may extend up to 8 weeks if needed.
• Maintenance therapy for reflux esophagitis: 10 mg once daily, may increase to 20 mg if necessary.
• Prevention of recurrence during low-dose aspirin or NSAID use: 10 mg once daily.
• Adjunct for Helicobacter pylori eradication: 20 mg twice daily with antibiotics for 7 days.

Side Effects

Common side effects include diarrhea, constipation, nausea, rash, and abdominal discomfort. Serious side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions, liver function abnormalities, and jaundice.

How to Use
