• Adults: One tablet (500 mg Naproxen/20 mg Esomeprazole) twice daily.
• Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis:
  • Weight ≥50 kg: One tablet twice daily.
  • Weight 38–50 kg: One tablet (375 mg Naproxen/20 mg Esomeprazole) twice daily.

Side Effects

Common side effects include erosive gastritis, dyspepsia, diarrhea, nausea, upper abdominal discomfort, and gastric ulcers. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as asthma or urticaria may occur.

How to Use

Take Napxon 500 orally as directed by a physician. It is usually taken twice daily with or without food. Avoid high-fat meals, as they may delay the absorption of Naproxen.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Napxon 500 is classified as pregnancy category C. It should be avoided in late pregnancy, as it may prematurely close the ductus arteriosus. The Naproxen component of this medication is not recommended for nursing mothers, as it may pass into breast milk.
