Description
Ebatin 50 ml syrup contains Ebastine, a long-acting H1-histamine receptor antagonist, used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It is manufactured by Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and is available in a 50 ml bottle.

Ingredients
Ebastine 50 IU/ml

Uses and Doses

• Adults (12+ years): 10 mg tablet once daily
• Children (6-12 years): 5 mg (half tablet) once daily
• Syrup:
  • 2-5 years: 2.5 ml once daily (up to 5 ml for severe cases)
  • 6-12 years: 5 ml once daily (up to 10 ml for severe cases)
• Can be taken with or without food

Side Effects
Common side effects include headache, dry mouth, and drowsiness. Less common effects include abdominal discomfort, dyspepsia, nausea, and insomnia.

Take the recommended dose as directed by your physician. Can be taken with or without food.

Pregnancy & Lactation
Classified as a pregnancy category B medication by the USFDA. Ebastine should only be used during pregnancy if necessary. It is unknown whether Ebastine is excreted in breast milk, so it should not be used during lactation.

Pharmacology
