Description Avamist is a nasal spray containing Fluticasone Furoate, a synthetic corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory properties.
Benefits Relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, and sinus discomfort. Reduces inflammation in the nasal passages caused by allergies.
Ingredients Active ingredient: Fluticasone Furoate Inactive ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride, glucose anhydrous, disodium edetate, polysorbate 80, purified water, and microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethylcellulose sodium.
Uses and Doses Indicated for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Adult dose: 2 sprays (27.5mcg each) into each nostril once daily. May be reduced to 1 spray if symptoms are controlled. Child dose (2-11 years): 1 spray in each nostril once daily, may increase to 2 sprays if necessary.
Side Effects Common: Nosebleeds, headache, nasal inflammation. Rare: Nasal ulcers, wheezing, cataracts, glaucoma.
How to Use Shake gently, insert the nozzle into the nostril, and spray while inhaling gently. Repeat for the other nostril. Clean the nozzle weekly.
Pregnancy & Lactation Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation; benefits must outweigh risks.
Precautions and Warnings Avoid in patients with recent nasal ulcers or nasal surgery. Monitor for systemic effects with long-term use.
